Barn Find Rare Handmade British V8 muscle car - will it run? The car in question is a Bristol 408, an aluminium car with an American Chrysler 5.2 V8 and many aeronautical design features to hark back to when Bristol made fighter planes. Welcome to another Barn find episode of The Late Brake Show, where Jonny Smith unearths an incredibly rare Lamborghini survivor. The car has secretly sat inside a stone barn, abandoned 30 years ago after the owner mysteriously disappeared. This is a British right hand drive Lamborghini Espada, of which only 130 were made (there were over 1200 Espadas in total made between 1968 and 1978). Thanks for stopping by The Late Brake Show. The mysterious nature of this discovery is just as intriguing as the rarity of the RHD Lamborghini V12, as Jonny learns that the deceased land owner was actually storing the car for a person who paid for several months storage and then never returned. That was over 30 years ago! There was no information in writing about the owner, and the solicitor land owner was left owed for decades of unpaid rent. The traditional stone barn had no windows and sat in a very secretive part of the Lake District, near Kendal. Amongst the idyllic scenery passers-by would never suspect what may be inside the barn. The Lamborghini was hidden by sheets of wood, a layer of owl droppings and constant darkness. It was also boxed in by a 1990s Vauxhall Cavalier and Calibra, also unclaimed by their original owners. Barn Find Survivor Porsche 911 discovery - Real Life Forza. Jonny Smith wears his sacred BFF (Barn Find Fleece) and heads to picturesque mid Wales to open a garage containing not one but two 1970s sports cars; a 1978 Porsche 911 SC and a 1974 Triumph TR6 roadster. Helen Corbett's late husband was a huge classic car nut, and was saving the TR6 as a retirement project. Sadly his life was cut short and he passed away two years ago. Helen's father in law (Kevin's father) previously owned the 911 since it was only about 5 years old, and he passed it on to Kevin and Helen when he died in 20 years ago. The Porsche hasn't been used much since, due to the aforementioned health complications. Incredible 80s Barn Find Mercedes AMG Hammer V8 Wide-Body Coupe. This barnfind episode was unexpected, as Jonny Smith was paying a visit to film Neville Brown's Merc Brabus/AMG Car Cave for a previous episode (watch it here if you haven't already: 🤍 ) until it was mentioned that a certain rare unrestored 500 SEC AMG had been sitting gathering dust since about 2006. They only made 85 of these, and it needs a full restoration but it seems like most of the parts are there. Can you guess what it is? In a nearby shop, Cotter discovers a ’41 Lincoln Continental, equipped with a Flathead V-12, and a 1950 Plymouth Suburban two-door, both California survivors. Talking with Shelby, the owner, Cotter learns of Dwayne Bower who describes himself as a guy who “doesn’t collect cars, but has never sold one.” And he isn’t interested in selling his ’57 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, Jaguar XK120, 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner GTX, the tow truck featured in The Fate of the Furious (aka Fast and the Furious 8), or any other cars now, either. Recently, I loaded up the trucks and trailers with my crew (Kelsey, Sinjin, Alex and Sean) and we road tripped up North to Becker, Minnesota for a Barn Find car collection that I have been chasing for just over 7 years. It ended up taking us just over 10 hours to dig out and load up 7 cars in the trailers, but man was it worth it! Welcome to The Late Brake Show for another classic barn find episode. We say barnfind, but it is a regular suburban garage find, where a 1973 Volvo 145 (the one before the 240 and the one after the Amazon) has been in hibernation (stuffed full of spare parts) for the last 30 years. Jonny contacted about this automotive discovery through a friend in the EV world. He'd seen the car covered in carpets during a home being cleared (due to a bereavement). Neil immediately emailed Jonny with a pic to say he'd contacted the family to ask permission to possibly help remove the car and find it a new home. It transpires that the Volvo in question was the 'special occasion' family car for the late owner Trevor Cox, who was a nuclear power station safety engineer. It turns out he liked safe cars, and preserving them to the nth degree. In this video Jonny's old friend Bryn Musselwhite (who mans the cams for this vid) arranges to buy the car, because this car was just the same model as the one his late father had when he was a kid. One of these Volvos was Bryn's first car memory, and that seed never left his brain. Today Bryn is an accomplished motoring journalist, an even better video producer and whom Jonny can call a solid mate. He also comes from the same part of Somerset as Jonny, so there's that. Hopefully this vid shows how an 'ordinary' car that gets pampered and preserved for no apparent reason then finds a new home for a bright future. We love a happy ending here on TLBS, especially if it involves a classic car.
